CMSKite or Wix Blog? Start with where your posts will rank.
If your whole site is on Wix and you want every post to rank as a page of your Wix domain, use Wix Blog. We say that first because CMSKite cannot do it on Wix: Wix shows pasted code in a frame. CMSKite is the better fit when the blog has to work beyond one Wix site, or outlast it.

The short answer
- Choose Wix Blog if your site is on Wix and staying there, and you want posts to rank on your Wix domain, with comments, likes and paid subscriptions available.
- Choose CMSKite if you have more than one site, a site that is not on Wix, or might leave Wix: the posts stay yours to show anywhere. On Wix itself, readers see the posts but search engines file them under your free CMSKite blog link.
The Wix frame, in plain words
To show CMSKite on Wix you add an Embed HTML element and paste two lines. Wix runs pasted code inside a frame, a small separate page set into yours. Readers see the posts and can open them, but everything the embed tells search engines (each post’s title, description, canonical link and article data) goes to the frame, not to your Wix page.
So on a Wix site, CMSKite posts rank on your free blog link, at addresses like cmskite.com/b/your-blog/my-post, and each post there names that address as its canonical one. That is a working outcome, but it is not the same as posts ranking on yourbusiness.com. Wix Blog posts are pages of your Wix site, so they do. The details and steps are on CMSKite for Wix.
Side by side
| Wix Blog | CMSKite | |
|---|---|---|
| Where it works | On a Wix site: it is a Wix app, added with Add Apps → Wix Blog → Add to Site. | On your free blog link, and on any site with two lines: Wix, WordPress, Shopify, Webflow, Squarespace, plain HTML. |
| On a Wix site | Adds a Blog Feed page and a Blog Post page to your site. | Shows inside an Embed HTML element, which Wix puts in a frame of the size you give it. |
| Where posts rank | As pages of your Wix site. | On your free blog link. On a site that is not Wix, as pages of that site. |
| SEO per post | An SEO tab with the slug, title tag, meta description, an indexing switch, structured data and a robots meta tag, plus a Social share tab. | Slug, search title, description, social image, canonical link, article data, a sitemap entry and “keep out of search”. |
| Writers | Blog editor, blog writer and guest writer (who cannot publish). None of them can open the Wix Editor. | Six roles plus roles of your own; publishing is a permission of its own. Writers never see your website’s admin. |
| AI drafts | AI Tools → Blog post in the post composer drafts a post from a topic, a word count and a tone. | Write with AI drafts a post from one sentence in English, Português, Español, हिंदी or Hinglish, with a business brief every draft follows. |
| Comments and members | Likes, comments and follows; paid blog subscriptions through Wix Pricing Plans. | None. Posts have no comments, likes or paywall. |
| Your domain | Free sites use a wixsite.com address with Wix branding; a Premium plan connects your own domain. | The free blog link is always at cmskite.com; posts reach your own domain through the embed on your site (framed, on Wix). |
| Bringing posts in | Imports from WordPress, by site address or XML file, up to 5,000 posts at a time. | No importer yet. |
| Taking posts out | “Currently, it is not possible to export blog posts to other platforms,” says Wix’s help centre. | The posts stay in CMSKite and show on whatever site you move to. Every post can also be read through the API. |
When Wix Blog is the better choice
- Ranking on your Wix domain matters most. On Wix, only Wix Blog posts are pages of your site. That is the main reason to choose it, and a good one.
- You want readers to comment, like and follow. Wix Blog has these built in; CMSKite has none.
- You want to charge for posts. Wix Blog works with Wix Pricing Plans for paid subscriptions. CMSKite has no paywall.
- You are moving a WordPress blog onto Wix. Wix Blog imports WordPress posts; CMSKite has no importer.
- You want one dashboard and one bill. Wix Blog lives in the same Wix dashboard as the rest of your site.
When CMSKite is the better choice
- You might leave Wix. Wix Blog posts cannot be exported to another platform. CMSKite posts are not tied to Wix: the same two lines work on your next site, and search engines are pointed there.
- You have more than one site, or one that is not on Wix. One account holds several websites, each with its own blog, and the two-line embed works on most builders.
- Your blog can live on its own link for now. The free blog link is plain HTML that any crawler reads, live from sign-up, with no ads.
- You want AI drafts in more than English. Write with AI drafts in English, Português, Español, हिंदी or Hinglish, and follows a brief about your business that you write once.
- A developer will build your next site. The same posts come from a REST API, a TypeScript SDK and an MCP server.
Using both
They do not touch each other, so you can run Wix Blog on your Wix site and CMSKite on another site, or keep both on one Wix site. If you do, write each topic in only one of them, so two posts do not compete for the same search, and link to your free CMSKite blog from your Wix menu or footer so search engines and readers find it.
What CMSKite costs
| Free | Starter | Team | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Price | Free forever | ₹799 / $9 a month | ₹2,499 / $29 a month |

The Embed HTML element is part of the Wix Editor, and the two lines are the same on every CMSKite plan. Wix’s own prices vary by country; its plans page has the current ones.

Questions
- Is Wix Blog good for SEO?
- Its posts are pages of your Wix site, each with its own address, and the SEO tab lets you set the slug, title tag, meta description and indexing per post. On a Wix site that is the one thing CMSKite cannot match, because Wix frames pasted code.
- Will CMSKite posts on my Wix site show up on Google?
- Yes, on your free blog link, where each post has its own address, title, description and canonical link. They do not rank as pages of your Wix domain.
- Can I export my Wix Blog posts to CMSKite?
- Wix’s help centre says blog posts cannot currently be exported to other platforms, and CMSKite has no importer, so moving posts means copying them across by hand.
- Can I use Wix Blog and CMSKite together?
- Yes. They do not interfere with each other. Keep each topic in one of them so two posts do not compete for one search.
- Does CMSKite work on a free Wix site?
- Wix’s help lists no plan requirement for the Embed HTML element, and the two lines are the same on every CMSKite plan, Free included.
