Summary, FAQ and article type
The AI answers part of the Google tab helps search and AI engines quote the post. All of it is optional, and all of it is shown to readers too, so it never hides anything from them.
Summary
The main point of the post in two or three sentences, shown at the top. AI assistants often quote the first clear answer on a page; this puts one there.
FAQ
Questions readers ask about the topic, each with a short, direct answer. They are shown below the post and added to the page's structured data as FAQPage. Write the questions the way people type them.
Only questions shown on the page go into the structured data. Search engines ignore markup that is not on the page, and so do we.
Article type
The type search and AI engines read in the page's structured data. The default suits most posts.
