Site audit and PageSpeed

The site audit checks every page of your site each day for technical health, content, markup and speed. It scores each page from 0 to 100 and shows the worst problems first.

Open the audit

Go to Insights → Site audit. If it shows Not available, the audit is not turned on for your workspace. The page crawl size depends on your plan: Free checks up to 50 pages, Starter 500 and Team 2,000.

Reading the score

  • The site score is the weighted average of the page scores. Pages with more Google impressions count more. Until Google data arrives, all pages count the same.
  • A 30-day trend shows after two audits.
  • Scores fall in bands: Good, Needs work and Poor. A check is Pass, Warning, Fail, Unknown or Not checked.
  • Checks are grouped as Technical, Content, Markup and Speed.
  • Critical problems are a page that does not load, a page hidden from Google with noindex, and a canonical address that points elsewhere.

Pages

The pages list shows the worst pages first. Filter by score band or critical problems only. Open a page to see its scores by area, its PageSpeed score, mobile speed and its search snippet.

PageSpeed

Your home page is tested on mobile and on desktop with Google PageSpeed Insights. The result shows the category scores, lab metrics and real-user data when Google has it. A new result arrives with the next audit. PageSpeed is on paid plans.

For a fix, open the page in PageSpeed Insights, fix the failed audits and test again.

Reports and alerts

  • A report is saved each day after the audit.
  • Email digests can be Off, Weekly or Daily. They go to the workspace owner. Free has no report emails.
  • Alerts can fire on a score drop (1 to 50 points), a new critical problem, a tracked keyword that drops 5 places or more, new 404 pages, and an SSL certificate that is about to expire.
  • Copy share link makes a link that anyone can open to read one report for 30 days. Download PDF saves it as a file.

Fix what it finds

The SEO report in the editor checks one post at a time and can fix it with AI. Problems the audit finds across the site also show in Opportunities.
