Listen to your posts (text-to-speech)
You can turn a published post into audio. Readers get a player on your hosted blog and in the embed.
Make the audio
- Open a published post in the editor.
- In the right panel open Stats. Find Listen to this post.
- Pick a voice and press Make audio.
- Wait a minute or two. You can leave the page while it works.
There are 11 voices to choose from. A post has one audio file for each language. Pressing Make again replaces the old file.
What it costs
Each time you make audio, it takes AI credits from your balance: 1 credit for each 1,000 characters, at least 1. The card shows the number before you press the button. The title and body together can be up to 50,000 characters. See AI credits and usage.
If the work fails, the credits come back. If your balance is too low, the card says so and links to Get credits.
When the post changes
- If you edit the post after the audio was made, readers no longer get the player until you make it again.
- Only one audio job runs at a time for a post.
- Remove takes the player away. The credits it cost are not given back.
