Post settings
The Post settings panel beside the editor has three tabs. Everything here is optional except the status: a post with only a title and a body is complete.
Publish
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Status | Draft (private), Published (live now) or Scheduled (goes live later) |
| Publish at | The time a scheduled post goes live |
| Category | One per post. Posts without one are Uncategorised |
| Tags | Any number. New tags are created when the post saves |
| URL slug | The last part of the address, such as my-first-post |
Changing the slug of a live post creates a redirect from the old address, so links and search results keep working. Your site gets the old slug answered with
slugRedirectedFrom set.How the post appears in search results and when it is shared. Leave a field empty and the post's own title and description are used.
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Search title | The blue link in Google. About 60 characters show in full |
| Search description | The two lines under it. About 155 characters |
| Focus keyword | The phrase the post should rank for. The SEO report checks it is used well |
| Canonical address | Only when the post was published somewhere else first. It tells search engines which copy counts |
| Keep this out of search engines | The post stays live but leaves your sitemap and asks search engines not to list it |
| Keywords | For your own use. Search engines ignore them |
The AI answers part of this tab is described in Summary and FAQ. The SEO report under it is in The SEO report.
