Version history
CMSKite keeps earlier versions of each post, so you can see what changed and go back.
Open it
Press History in the editor header. The Version history drawer lists the versions, newest first. Saves within ten minutes count as one version. Each publish is its own version.
Compare
Each row shows why it was saved (Saved, Published or Restored), who did it (you, a teammate, an API key or Autopilot), and the word count. Select a row to compare it with the saved post. You see the title, excerpt, body and SEO differences. A very large change says Too many changes to list paragraph by paragraph.
Restore
Press Restore this version. A restore is a normal edit and becomes its own Restored version, so the version it replaced stays in the history. If you have unsaved edits, you are asked before they are discarded.
Limits
- Your plan keeps the latest versions of each post: Free 10, Starter 50, Team 100.
- History is not kept for posts stored in your own database.
- You use it in the dashboard. API keys cannot read it.
